InZOI Early Access: 3D Printer, Character Studio, Gameplay!

InZOI can rightfully be considered one of the most anticipated games in the life simulator genre. Many people have already called it a potential competitor to The Sims and have very high hopes for this game. Recall that the launch of early access is scheduled for March 28, 2025 for Windows users. The release on other gaming platforms is still unknown.

And since the game is released very soon, we have the opportunity to discuss it and find out what to expect and what unique features and new mechanics InZOI will be able to surprise fans of the genre.

Game world and gameplay

It will be possible to control characters, develop their skills, build houses and participate in social interactions. Such features have been seen before in games of a similar genre. Each character has eight basic needs: hunger, hygiene, rest and others, which must be satisfied for successful passage. A special feature of the game will be “active” careers. You will be able to directly participate in the work processes of your characters.

InZOI offers players three open worlds:

• Bliss Bay: a place reminiscent of Los Angeles, with beaches and a relaxed atmosphere.
• Dowon: a Seoul-inspired city with dense development and vibrant urban life.
• Cahaya: a location taking inspiration from Indonesian resorts, offering exotic scenery and culture.

It’s also worth highlighting the mechanics of city building. Simply put, there will be an advanced terrain editor, which can be used to create and edit walls, roofs, windows, doors and other elements of the house and not only. Developers give the player a sense of a real creator and give you the opportunity to decide for yourself how you want to see the city. Don’t like some street? No problem, just take it and remake it. Or maybe you are not satisfied with some decorative elements of the exterior or landscape? This is also not a problem! You decide how your virtual world will be.

3D printer in the game

Yes, the game will indeed have a 3-D printer, which will allow you to scan photos of real objects and recreate them in the game. That is, you will be able to transfer your favorite pieces of furniture, decorative elements, and even clothing into the virtual world. Such possibilities are very few in games, so InZOI in this respect is a very progressive game with new possibilities of realism.

Character Editor and Custom Content

InZOI also provides incredible possibilities in terms of character customization. The built-in AI generator works wonders and will give you the ability to create unique textures and designs. In addition, the Canvas system will allow you to share your creations with the community and upload other users’ work. Moreover, from the moment of release, the game will support mods, which can also be used to customize the character and add new content to the game.

Development and expectations

The development of InZOI began in early 2023 on the Unreal Engine 5 engine. The game was first presented at G-STAR 2023 in Busan, where it attracted a lot of attention from the public. The game is planned to appear on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles after its release on PC, although exact dates have not yet been announced.

Expectations for InZOI are high. Many hope that the game will offer a fresh take on the life simulation genre, combining realistic graphics and deep gameplay. If Krafton manages to deliver on its announced features, InZOI could become a new standard in its genre.

Multiplayer Support

Unfortunately, at the time of Early Access release InZOI will be available only in single-player mode. And the developers haven’t yet confirmed plans to add an online mode, but given the scale of the game, the ability to co-op in the same city seems like a logical step for future updates. If you’ve been wanting to play InZOI with friends, it’s probably worth the wait. Since multiplayer is very important in games like this and the developers realize that. Therefore, the multiplayer mode may be added later, we should just wait to see what Krafton representatives have to say about it.

What to expect from Early Access?

Since the game is being released in Early Access, not all of its features will be open for use. The core mechanics will be available, but some features will be added gradually. Basic elements such as character editor, building, career and social interactions will be available from day one. But the creators promise many new interesting mechanics and features, like a rating system in the form of karma. And in all likelihood, this mechanic and many other options will appear later with the release of updates.

InZOI will be actively supported throughout the Early Access period, which will last about six months. After that, the game will go into full release and will likely appear on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
